Gardening Tips

Weed Spraying

A good tip when weed spraying is to adjust the spaying nozzle to liquid/droplets. This way you can hold the nozzle a few centimetres from the weed and place the liquid directly on to the offending plant, thus avoiding killing any innocent flowers etc. Leaving the nozzle on the mist setting results in wastage, plus the mist is easily blown by the wind onto other plants, or even the lawn, resulting in dead, brown patches.

The best time of year to prune your flowers etc is Winter. The easiest way to judge the correct time is to start pruning around the time of the Queen's Birthday.

Garden Lights

When laying garden lights please keep them off the lawn as hidden wires may be cut by accident and, if plugged into the mains, could result in serious injury.
